led to an ability to create images of a truly magical quality - with a vividness of colour, subtlety of hue and clever use of shade that are fast becoming his signature.
He moved to London in 1992 and continued his apprenticeship with photographer Anthony Dawton whose role as official photographer for the African Summit and Bending the Arc 2005 allowed Carlos to indulge his other long held passion: travel.
In 2005, a voyage to Antarctica proved the catalyst to bring these passions together. The harsh realization that the icy splendour was threatened by extinction through global warming led to an exhibition of spectacular and powerful images from this trip at the Chateau D'Haroue in Lorraine and the Crid'Art Gallery in Amneville Les Thermes, France.
2006 saw him visit warmer climes, Myanmar - formerly known as Burma – where the experience of a very different reality led Carlos to produce the arresting photographs exhibited at ‘ART LONDON’ in October 2006 in collaboration with Merlin.
2007 took Carlos on a fascinating trip to the Sultanate of Oman. His amazing panoramas of this extraordinary country will be exhibited in October at the President Suite of the “Volvo Masters” in Spain.
